In line with its firm corporate social responsibility policy, Cap Vermell Group is getting actively involved in educational issues by sponsoring the 'Joint Efforts' initiative, which is a day of motivational talks with Majorcan Year 10 and 11 students led by three great international athletes: Gemma Mengual, Teresa Perales and Leo Scaloni.
'Joint Efforts', which is promoted by Carlsen Estrategia & Comunicación, will be held on 24th September in the morning at the Trui Theatre in Palma.
The initiative, which is also being sponsored by Barceló Group, Trablisa and Angel 24, is part of a clear objective to reinforce a culture of effort among Majorcan adolescents by offering the live testimonies of elite athletes who will personally explain the secret of their success through effort and an instinct to do better all the time.
More than 1000 students will attend this first edition of the event, all Year 10 and 11 students from different schools on the island. The talks will last nearly three and a half hours as the students will hear some vital stories from three renowned athletes who have experienced great success in their careers.
Plus, the participating student with the best Year 11 academic record will be awarded a scholarship to attend a one-month summer camp in Los Angeles and the Year 10 student with the best academic record will receive a scholarship for a two-week camp in Cambridge.
Gemma Mengual is considered to be one of the best synchronized swimmers. She has won 17 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 12 bronze medals at World Championships, European competitions and the Olympic Games.
On the other hand, Lionel Scaloni is not only the manager of Argentina's national team, but he's also played for Deportivo de La Coruña, SS Lazio and RCD Mallorca.
Finally, Teresa Perales is an elite swimmer who won 26 medals at the Summer Paralympic Games between 2000 and 2016 and 20 medals at the World Para Swimming Championships between 1998 and 2017.Cap Vermell
