Cap Vermell Group is again supporting the cinema industry on the islands by sponsoring the short film ¿Chocamos? (Do We Clash), fully filmed in one of the exclusive villas comprising the residential complex Cap Vermell Estate.
Directed by Xisco Díaz, this story stars and is produced by Majorcan native Toni Sastre (Lo que ocurre en Cap Vermell) and also features actors David Mora (Kiki, el amor se hace), Aitor Manuel Alonso (Room 16) and Eduardo de Tena (Ni mueres ni trabajas).
The story focuses on a reunion with a surprising plot and unexpected ending.
It features four childhood friends who meet again after several years. The storyline revolves around a long and intense conversation that occurs during a meal organised by one of them, Marc, after returning from an extended, successful business trip.
The setting is unique: a spectacular home on Cap Vermell Estate in a small town in north-eastern Majorca. It's owned by the main character to whom life hasn't been all that bad over the long period that has kept him away from his childhood friends. Many things have happened during this long period. The meal, which begins in a relaxed manner, soon becomes a series of arguments, criticism and reproaches among them.
¿Chocamos? (Do We Clash?) This short film of just over thirteen intense minutes filled with feelings and memories won't leave anyone indifferent.
The team that has helped make this new project sponsored by Cap Vermell Group possible is rounded off by Laura Casasnovas (Director's Assistant and Scriptwriter), Rubén Capilla (Director of Photography), Andreu Juan (Sound), Alejandro San Martín (Art and Costumes) and Sebastià Rigo (Camera Assistant and Gaffer).
It also includes four very young promising Spanish film talents who are able to bring the main characters back to the past and their childhood.
The Atlantida Film Fest held in Palma last July was the venue for the very first public projection of ¿Chocamos? (Do We Clash).
