The restaurant Asia, at Park Hyatt Mallorca, is offering a unique culinary date for 9th and 10th August. A menu with eleven dishes and wine pairing prepared by Head Chef Tae Rodríguez Yamaguchi, and by Schilo van Coevorden, an internationally prestigious chef who is currently directing the kitchen at Taiko, located at the Conservatorium Hotel Amsterdam.
Unique, exquisite and technically impeccable recipes offering the best of a fusion between gastronomic traditions rich in nuances as are the Mediterranean and Asian cuisines.
Anyone who would like to enjoy a unique experience can do so on the nights of 9th and 10th August from 7 to 11 p.m.
The menu features very elaborate dishes reflecting special care for fresh, local products in an effort to surprise the palate and provide an exquisite culinary experience. They include: Curry gazpacho with Majorcan prawns; Robata citric-marinated black cod with stewed spinach, shimeji, enoki, shiitake and oyster mushrooms; Tuna tartare with garden vegetables; Kimchi with marinated Iberian pork shoulder steak and a crustacean infusion; and Wagyu beef slowly-roasted with swede kimchi.
Guest chef Schilo van Coeverden is known for creating borderless cuisine with a marked Asian influence, his respectful product handling and impeccable technique at the stove.
On the other hand, Tae Rodríguez, who took over in the Asia kitchen this year, specializes inJapanese-inspired recipes with Vietnamese touches, hints of Thai, traditional ingredients from South Korea and Chinese techniques. These culinary combinations will take you on a journey to faraway continents through taste, sight and smell.
