Last Saturday was a very special day for around fifteen children from Aspanob (Balearic Association of Parents of Children with Cancer) and for their relatives. Cap Vermell Group invited them to a pre-Christmas event full of surprises and fun.
The day began with a workshop to make Christmas biscuits headed by chefs from the Park Hyatt Mallorca hotel complex, owned by Cap Vermell Group.
The young and not-so-young, supported and helped right the way through by volunteers from Cap Vermell Endavant and Hyatt Drive, had a great time baking pastries that were later put on sale at the receptions of the hotel complex and Cap Vermell Country Club. The entirety of the proceeds went towards funding Aspanob projects.
When the workshop was finished, a choir sang carols for everyone present and afterwards the children received a very special visit from Santa Claus himself, who had decided to take a break from his travels across the world to listen to their Christmas wishes and to collect their letters to him in person.
Later, all members of the Aspanob Association enjoyed a family meal served in the Balearic Restaurant at Park Hyatt Mallorca.
The busy day drew to an end with a walk through the Christmas Craft Market, located in the hotel Ballroom owing to the weather, with the sounds of Christmas music, coloured lights and stands with traditional, totally-handmade products.
Cap Vermell Group’s intention was that all the children who visited Canyamel to participate in the Christmas biscuit workshop should experience an unforgettable pre-Christmas day.Mallorca
